SINDHI MODEL MATRICULATION HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL is an offspring of the SINDHI EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY(MADRAS) which is a registered body.Conceived in a spirit of patriotic and dedicated service in the cause of education, it is meant to develop into a citadel of culture and fulfill a lofty mission. Through an integrated programme of instruction and activities, it strives to be a synthesis of traditional culture and progressive trend in modern education.
The main aim of the school authorities and their well-planned efforts from its inception, is directed to mould the mind, heart and soul of the child.

The Sindhi Education Society Madras was established in 1974 with an aspiration and focus of providing service in the field of education. We have since established four institutions, the Sindhi Model Senior Secondary School Kellys, Sindhi Arts and Science College Tiruverkadu, the Sindhi Model Matriculation Higher Secondary School,Chetpet and the Sindhi Model School of Excellence, Tiruverkadu.
The School was started with a first-year strength of 124 student and 15 teachers, now the school has etched a strength of 700 students and 36 teachers who are led by a dynamic Principal.
We, just like you, believe in holistic education for your child, encompassing – academics, co-curricular activities, sports education and life-skills learning. Our endeavour is to strike a balance between state-of-the-art infrastructure and an internationally acceptable education.
The school has 28 classrooms, ascience lab, a computer lab, a library, music room, activities room, a fully airconditioned auditoriumand a playground. At full capacity, the school is capable of educating 1200 students.

Giving food to a person is a great deed, but giving विद्या (education) is even better. The satisfaction obtained from food is momentary, but that procured from विद्या lasts a lifetime.
The gift of knowledge enlightens the soul and stays with a person throughout his lifetime and I am honored to be part of an institution which has been evoking towards, touching lives with the gift of knowledge and contributing towards this noble cause.
We are all where we are, because of the education we once received. But what is to be kept in mind is that we are all students and continue to learn something everyday. We at Sindhi Model Mat Hr. Sec. School believe in such holistic and interdependent learning to reach goals in life.

It was following the astounding success of our 38 year old institution situated in Kellys, Chennai, and the huge demand for quality education in the matriculation stream in and around Chennai, that we the members of the Sindhi Educational Society(Madras) took the initiative to start the Sindhi Model Matriculation School, situated in Chetpet, Chennai.
Initially beginning with a strength of 124 students and classes operating from LKG to VIII in a beautiful urban campus, the school today plays a role in shaping the lives of over 700 students and hosts classes from LKG to XII. A team of wonderful teachers headed by the most adept principal have been doing their best towards realizing the dream of the Society – to nurture our youth and bring them up as citizens worthy of the name Indian.
This in itself is an indicator of our determination towards our goal – inculcating strong values combined with academics and extra-curricular activities. In short, the objective of this initiative is to convert every student to be self-reliant and independent. While academic excellence is our major thrust, the School is also devoted to prepare students for lifelong learning, to face the challenges of tomorrow and encourage them to be socially relevant.
